Zaka, also colloquially known as "Cousin Zaka", is a spiritual figure emblematic of the workers of the Earth. A Voodoo divinity, he is both bon vivant and protector of the peasants. He is a unifying figure that brings together all the artisans of the Earth.
The spirit of Zaka represents all the artisans of different Rums, and their specificities, all linked by the love of their land, the respect of the land and cultures, as well as the authenticity and integrity of those who work it.

The Master Blender Bruno Lemerle, based in Mauritius and passionate about Rum, has travelled through the different terroirs of Rum in order to select the best of each region and share authentic and varied expressions. The common point of all Zaka Rums is the relationship of men to their Earth as well as the combination of traditional and modern techniques to capture the best of what the Earth has to offer.
